    Re: 2011 NBA Playoffs thread...

Lol guess you missed where I said they should have already won the series, don't remember them struggling this much last year. Dallas just knocked off a better team on the road, LA went 6 with a team without West and team full of nobodies - Paul, Okafor, Ariza and Landry are about the only players a regular fan of the NBA could probably even name. LA is better than Dallas, not arguing that, but this wasn't a good series for the Lakers at all, it should have been a sweep. I'm still waiting for Bynum to end up watching the rest of the playoffs in a suit on the sidelines. And Kobe isn't getting any younger or healthier, he had two 30 point games this series, the other 4 he played below average(hell 3 games below 20 points). Curious to see how they play against Dallas's zone, which they are actually pretty good defending with, since LA is a mediocre jump shooting team. Dallas also ma

    Now the other series.

Orlando gets sent home by the Hawks, which sets up a Hawks/Bulls matchup. This one will be a good series, both good teams and a good fan base, so it might come down to that game 7 in Chicago. The Bulls weren't that impressive IMO in the Pacers series. Yeah I know it was 4-1, but the first 3 games were won by 4, 5 and 6 points...really could have gone either way, but the Pacers collapsed at the end of the games after controlling most of the 48 minutes. Hawks on the other hand are coming off a pretty impressive series against Orlando, really taking it to them.

Miami/Boston - can't wait for this one, Boston was 3-1 against Miami this year, but the first two wins were in the beginning of the season when Miami was far from the team they are now. Miami did win the biggest game of the series, which was the last one that had seeding implications and gave Miami homecourt in this series, double digit win too.

SA/Memphis - game six is at 9 tonight, huge game, this is really Memphi's game 7. If they lose, SA wins game 7 in SA. But I think they win tonight, they were a prayer three away from wrapping it up in game 5. But SA can defnitely win and I think the series is over if they do, definitely would prove me wrong because I called it over at 3-1...which still think, but not far fetched to see them win tonight. Memphis is grossly underrated though and that crowd will give them a huge lift.

And whoever wins this, will play OKC in the next round. I'm not sure who OKC wants in this though. Memphis is pretty big down low, that's going to cause matchup problems for anyone. Also that underdog thing is a non-factor with Memphis. Either way, I think OKC wins against either team, they're a legit team that may very well be representing the West this year in the finals.

turn it on ESPN right now! About 9 minutes left in this SA/MEM game and it's gong to be a good one. Memphis is up by 5 right now, but both teams are leaving it all out on the court for this game, hell might be a scuffle here in a bit.

Really? You said repeatedly last year iff LA wasn't the home team they would have lost each series in the West. The opening round with OKC went 6, with LA finishing it in OKC which proved they didn't have to be the home team. They done the same thing to Denver. What happened to PHX, was it 6 or 5? I cant remember but either way they got it done 4 times in each series which what it takes.

They were an Artest prayer away from probably losing to them. But oh well, they got the Suns finally in a series.

What about those Grizzlies though? Knocked off the Spurs in 6, they are a legit team, OKC better watch out. Just won an historic game for their franchise, their 4th playoff win, first time advancing to the next round and did it by beating a 1 seed which has happened only a handful of times. Really impressive and I'm happy for them, love that team and city.

The Griz have been hot since the All-Star break. The only team that had a better run from there was the Lakers.

Grizzlies win again, they are legit. No fluke, they're just winning.

Heat controlling this game for the most part, up 13 with seven left. Pierce get's his ass tossed after his second technical, really should have been thrown out the first tme after that head-butt. Going to be a very chippy series, can't wait.

    Re: 2011 NBA Playoffs thread...

With Randolph (who is playing as well as any player, ANY PLAYER, in the playoffs so far) and Gasol dominating inside, Memphis is gonna be a tough out for anybody. Their scoring can disappear at times with no big time guard/forward scorers, but Conley is quick as hell and can get into the lane and create.

And when that team puts their foot down and says we are gonna play defense, they play defense. They have great interior defense with Arthur, Gasol and Randolph, an elite perimeter defender in Allen, and veteran toughness and basketabll IQ in Battier. OKC is in for a DOGFIGHT, this series will not be fan-friendly. Two great defensive, big teams fighting each other for every bucket.

MIA/BOS was, well, DWADE. The Heat proved they really are one of the best defensive teams in the NBA and really did a number on BOS today. MIA created by getting in the lane and hitting open shooters who capitalized while DWADE was just in a zone that only elite players can be. Everything he threw up went in, from the lane, outside, anywhere.

Bosh was nowhere today, he will have to play bigger if MIA wants to win the series, but BOS looked vulnerable today. Rondo was a huge nonfactor, and if he isnt a factor BOS cant win.

I wish I could enjoy it more but with SAS getting put out in round 1 by the 8 seed i dont get to talk much ****.

DAL was lights out today, LAL is nowhere near as tough or physical as they were last year. Mainly because Pau Gasol has reverted back to ***** Gasol who refuses to be tough.
